Station Status Updates

January 19, 2025 – Caliente developed a power problem on Jan. 13. Following technician troubleshooting, needed replacement parts were identified and we are awaiting delivery. The replacement parts will be installed in the coming week and full-time operation will resume. While this problem is impacting the realtime collection of data, continuous collection of air samples is not being interrupted. Thus, there is no disruption of collection of air particulate samples.

December 3, 2024 An issue has been identified with the Mesquite station that is causing some erroneous data to be reported. The problem has been tracked to a system ground that is ‘floating’ when temperatures drop below 45F. The impacted data is being identified and corrected. The cause of the ‘floating’ ground is being addressed by a technician and should be corrected by the end of the week.

September 23, 2024 Communications with the Pioche station are down. A technician has been deployed to address the problem. All indications show that data is still being collected and updates will be posted once the connection is restored.

June 17, 2024 Amargosa Valley is currently offline while updates are being applied. Restoration planned for later today.

May 8, 2024 Recent network updates have disabled communications with the station. Data continues to be collected and will be posted once communications are restored. A technician is being dispatched to complete repairs.
